Yes, ladies and gents I have started the new year off with a crack. As in a broken bone. I fell in the parking lot the other day and cracked a bone in my foot. Not bad, it was my left foot, so I can still drive. Wouldn't you know, Doug is out of town. So thanks to some good friends, I made it through the first 24 hrs on crutches. Once I got to an ortho on Wed, I was able to ditch the crutches and now I have a walking boot.
Reilly has been a doll. He's scared of the crutches and the boot, but he's being really good about going outside and coming back in when he's supposed to. Instead of running around like a maniac like he is won't to do on occasion.
My friend at work wants to bling my boot. If she does, I'll post a picture.
You've done this before to start a year? Stop that, ok?
ReplyDeleteYes, let your friend bling the boot, and yes, please ... pictures!
What, you're on crack? Oh, your bones are cracked.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I'm really sorry to hear about your woes. It reminds me way too much of me falling down the stairs after making an evasive move so as to not step on Emma. I landed hard and had bursitis. And yes, that was a January accident, MLK Day, in fact.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
We want pictures!
I think we're all prone to injury during January. I'm not sure if we're just all too exhausted after the holidays to pay attention or what, but I blistered my hand today on a coffee mug, for crying out loud (apparently, it was not microwave safe, as the handle was approximately one zillion and fifty two degrees after ninety seconds in there).
ReplyDeleteYou hang in there and let us know if you need anything.
Steph's cracked, Steph's cracked! oh, sorry. JMK got that one straightened out. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, bling the boot! Bling the boot! And I hope you heal fast, you poor thing.
