Just Keep on Keepin' On.....

Which is pretty much how I feel right now. If I can just get through each day without any major issues, or just falling out, then I consider it a good day.

Now you know MOST of this is my fault. *I* am the one who signed up for the play, but I do miss doing theater and I thought it would be fun. And don't get me wrong, it IS fun... but also time consuming, as is everything else in my life.

And the heat wave isn't helping. In an attempt to help hubby with the lawn duties this weekend, we started mowing the lawn at HIGH NOON on Sat, which is when we both got home. It took a lot of sweat and several rest breaks to get the stupid thing mowed. At one point I thought I was going to be sick, so I had to go inside and lay down on the floor under the fan. Reilly thought this was quite interesting and kept circling me like a shark, not quite knowing what to do.

It's hotter than blue blazes down here...  as everyone in the south knows.  So I am going to call it a night and head back into the AC and go to bed :).

  1. You poor thing! Every summer, I say it's my last in the south. It's RIDICULOUSLY hot. I'm impressed that you even attempted to mow the lawn. You're a better woman than I!

  2. And the congregation said, AMEN. I just took Tucker out for last outs and it is still sweaty hot out there. Like, I started to sweat just standing there. Ughhhh. I'm headed for the freezing cold guest bedroom - coldest room in the house!

  3. Tell me about it! Well the lawn has to be done or the ARC committee will be down on our heads. So it has to get done.

It's too hot to do anything!

  4. Ahhh... ladies, I totaly sympathize and that is why I hire my son to do the cutting while I do the edging. We usually pick right before storm to cut. Less humidity, sun, cooler temps...

I don't have any committees coming after me, but I fear having to mow tall grass or step on snakes hidden. We mow about every 5-6 days.

Steph, we're also in wk 7 of a 9 wk summer of rehearsals for a musical. Almost there!! My whole summer has been spent learning, teaching and performing every Wed night. I *feel* for you girl! Aug 3rd begins my vacation!

Which musical are you doing? We don't even go on until Sept 5th, so we have a long way to go
