Inspired by Angie to do the Couch to 5K( not going so well btw) I went and spent $90 on a Wii Fit this weekend. I REALLY like it.
The first thing is does is a body mapping which told me I was fat( really??) and calculated my weight, and my BMI. Then you can use it to set goals.
There are several modules on the fit - Yoga, Aerobics, Balance and Strength Training. The aerobics has stuff like step( nope failed that) , Hula Hoop, and running - that's all I have so far. I need to unlock more stuff by working out more. The yoga is fun and so is the balance. I haven't worked the strength training yet, but I think I will tonight since we're supposed to be getting rain.
Doug's gotten into the program too, so it's been fun doing it together. Reilly hates the whole concept of the Wii.... especially since Doug stepped on him while playing tennis the other night.
I'll keep you posted, but my BMI is already dropping.....
I've heard GREAT things about that Wii Fit. There was one blogger who lost almost 100 lbs using Fit. Good luck! If we ever get a Wii, then I'll be all over that add-on.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun! WAY more fun than running, which I'm signing up for with the C25k program. Let me know how it goes!
ReplyDeleteIts really interesting and you can see your results immediately.
ReplyDeleteAnd what I like if it rains tonight, I can do some running, and then Yoga and Strength training...... You'd be amazed at how quickly the workout goes by. And it doesn't let you go much above your level..... It forces you to start slow.
Angie, Which blogger was that? I'd like to read her blog.
